Man
Peter
Peter and James have been friends since the first day of secondary school. He is responsible for introducing James and Emma to one another after stomping up to Emma outside year 9 RE and shouting "That's Emma Pallen" to James - little did he know 13-years later, he'd be helping James buy a ring for that very girl.
Maid

Daisy
Daisy and Emma met at a summer dance camp aged 8, and immediately became fast friends. When they first met Daisy's mother wrote in her diary: "Daisy made a fab new friend called Emma who we've seen a lot. Their character and likes/dislikes are so similar - they're like twins!"
Groomsman
Will
Will has been James' friend since primary school. They completed the exact same SATs, GCSEs, A-levels and univerisity degrees as each other up until the age of 22.
Bridesmaid
Ellie
Emma and Ellie first met when they were put in the same form aged 11. They have stayed friends for the 17(ish) years since then, despite Ellie's disturbing cat eating habits.
Groomsman
Chris
James and Emma once pranked Chris by making him believe all of his food tasted like mint. Despite this, he has been friends with them since secondary school.
Bridesmaid
Neelam
Emma met Neelam shortly after starting at the University of Nottingham. Since then, they have had many adventures including various foreign holidays, teaching maths to 5 year olds and dealing with slightly dodgy landlords.
Groomsman
Will
Will became friends with James and Emma at school. He met Emma during brass band after school, and James while trying to overthrow the Cheesy Biscuit Society. They have been friends ever since.
Bridesmaid
Katie
On the first day of his PhD, James rushed home to tell Emma that he’d met a “really nice girl” who actually spoke to him. At the end of his PhD, she hit him in the head with her graduation cap (but she's never done anything bad to Emma.)
Groomsman
Henry
James met Henry shortly after starting his PhD, and excitedly described him to Emma as "A really cool history teacher". He was also thrilled to discover that "His name is Henry James, and my name is James Henry!".
Bridesmaid
Tasha
As the chosen representative from the plethora of Pallen siblings, Tasha is best known in our family for her catchphrases "I can do it myself" and "not you, don't speak."
Groomsman
Keivan
Keivan is James and Emma's only French friend, and lived in Sheffield with them during James's PhD. Outside of being James and Emma's Groomsman, Keivan is best known for his hit single "I believe in the flies" (can be performed upon request).
Groomsman
Sam
Sammy Bumpkin has known James since birth and is the best brother anyone could wish for. For his Master's degree, he moved in with James and Emma in Sheffield, where he provided cakes, flapjacks, and stories about weird customers at Matalan.
Groomsman
Curtis Rom-Chains
Curtis has been a stalwart friend throughout James's life. He was particularly helpful during the completion of his PhD.
